The Prime Minister agreed to pilot Mobile Money

The Prime Minister has officially allowed to pilot mobile money or Mobile Money to pay for small-value services and goods.

Recently, the Government has issued Resolution No. 84 / NQ-CP on tasks and solutions to continue removing difficulties for production and business, promoting disbursement of public investment capital and ensuring safety and society order in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the solutions requested by the Prime Minister is to grant pilot licenses according to the Prime Minister’s Decision on approving the pilot deployment of using payment telecommunications accounts for small-value goods and services ( Mobile Money).

Earlier, in April, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) finalized the draft and submitted it to the Government. Since 2019, the Government has asked the SBV to research and propose a pilot of Mobile money service, in the context of no specific regulations on network-based financial services, while e-wallet expansion increasingly fast.
